Elon Musk purchased Twitter in April 2022 and renamed it X after the acquisition before firing the CEO, Parag Agarwal, and Twitter’s Legal Chief, Vijaya Gadde, who was behind banning President Donald Trump’s account after the January 5th insurrection at Capitol Hill. However, in recent events, the idea of buying MSNBC has been floated by Elon Musk on X, and many celebrities, including Donald Trump Jr. and Joe Rogan, have jumped on the bandwagon.

It all started when Donald Trump Jr. retweeted a post citing that Comcast plans to put MSNBC up for sale after poor ratings. “Hey Elon Musk, I have the funniest idea ever!!!” he tweeted. Musk replied to the tweet similarly to how he acquired Twitter in 2022. “How much does it cost?” he wrote. In addition, Joe Rogan joined the bandwagon, jokingly saying that he’ll play the role of a famous liberal CNBC anchor.

Joe Rogan Says He’ll Play the Role of Rachel Maddow if Elon Musk Buys MSNBC
The tweet ruffled a lot of feathers on social media indicating that Musk could be planning to buy MSNBC. Joe Rogan tweeted saying that he’ll parody MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow if Elon Musk buys the news outlet. He poked fun at Maddow saying that he’ll “wear the same glasses” and also “tell the same lies.”

“If you buy MSNBC I would like Rachael Maddow’s job. I will wear the same outfit and glasses, and I will tell the same lies,” said Joe Rogan on X. The billionaire entrepreneur replied to Rogan’s offer, “Deal.”

However, it is not known if Elon Musk is serious about buying the news outlet MSNBC. Joe Rogan, Donald Trump Jr., and Elon Musk seem to be poking fun at the far-left stance MSNBC has steered. The fact of the matter is that even Twitter’s acquisition started as a joke but went on to be serious. Therefore, when it comes to Elon Musk, one cannot write it off as he’s known to be unpredictable.
