That isn’t the end of where the firm is getting ahead. One of its most promising businesses is its cloud-based computing offering. Indeed, Microsoft Azure has skyrocketed in value and growth since it first arrived in 2008. However, the meeting ground between both of those businesses has game-changing potential.

Microsoft has used its OpenAI investment to power Azure’s growth. Moreover, customers have embraced its pay-as-you-go model that now allows them to create AI employees. With businesses adopting the technology, the USA should soare, and that should impact revenue. The cloud-based sector for MSFT has already seen revenue increase 33% this quarter.

Although competition will continue to increase, Microsoft is at a clear advantage. Only time will tell how 2025 will serve firms like Amazon (AMZN), Alphabet (GOOGL), and Apple (APPL). Yet, Microsoft’s diversification could be its calling card to lead its toughest competition.
