Shiba Inu (SHIB) adoptions are on the rise, and the Shib Army couldn’t be happier. Lavu, a prominent worldwide restaurant software company, has announced a new cross-distribution agreement with Verifone’s FLEX payment system, which includes the Advanced Payment Methods platform.
Lavu and Verifone customers will now be able to use Shiba Inu (SHIB) to pay for their meals in the thousands of restaurants listed on the application, spread over 65 countries. This is a major boost to SHIB’s already growing user base.
Apart from Shiba Inu, the app will also accept Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), and several USD stablecoins.
While Lavu has a customer base in over 65 countries, Verifone claims to have registered over 35 million devices spanning over 150 countries.
Shiba Inu burns and developments
Although SHIB has enjoyed a successful adoption among the masses, the price of the token has not reflected any positive movement. Moreover, SHIB burns have been moving full steam ahead, again, without any price action for the same.
It was reported that a total of 5,486,423,670 SHIB tokens were burnt over 101 transactions in the last 24 hours. However, Shiba Inu’s price is hovering at the lows. It is worth noting that the SHIB has witnessed an 8.5% gain in the last 7 days and a 3.6% gain in the last 24 hours. At press time, SHIB was trading at $0.00001194.
Additionally, it has recently come to light that the Shib Army’s efforts for a Shiba Inu and RedBull collaboration are seeing some traction. Shytoshi Kusama, the chief developer of ShibaSwap, tweeted that he had a conversation with the Red Bull team.
The meeting with Red Bull was “really amazing and productive,” according to Milkshake, SHIB’s top influencer. The two, however, did not provide many specifics about their partnership and kept it under wraps.
