There are few brands as big or as well-known across the world as Amazon. The company currently dominates e-commerce in the United States with a 38% market share. For context, the next closest competitor boasts a mere 6% market share, as a clear testament to Amazon’s position.

Additionally, it has bounced back from some underwhelming international performances. In 2023, the company saw an operating loss globally of $95 million. However, that changed this year. Indeed, its Q3 international operating income had surged to $1.3 billion. Above all, it propelled the company to an overall operating income of $17.4 billion, up 56% year over year.

For Amazon (AMZN), this kind of momentum has many believing it is situated firmly as a buy-now stock. For the 2024 fiscal year, 15 analysts had revised earnings estimates higher over the last 60 days, Yahoo reports. The data shows that the stock is continuing to display an upward trajectory.

Over the last week and four-week period, the stock is up almost 8%. Moreover, Amazon has urged 42.2% over the last year. That is a tendency many do not expect to break in 2025. Experts believe that the incoming Trump administration will be favorable to AMZN. If that’s true, it could be in to set new highs in the coming year and pay off big bets made in 2024.
