The latest Apple (AAPL) event unveiled the tech giant’s latest line of devices, including the iPhone 17 series, Apple Watch 11, and AirPods Pro 3. Apple is revamping its phone lineup with four new models, including the new ultra-thin iPhone Air. In addition, Apple’s iPhones now feature an updated iPhone 17 base model as well as new iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models. The Apple event in total introduced eight new products: four phones, three watches, and the AirPods update.
iPhone 17: Prices, New Features, and More
The new iPhone 17 comes in five colors, with a 6.3-inch display with thinner borders that also features a ProMotion display with a max refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen can reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and 256GB of starting storage. Additionally, the new iPhone also features Ceramic 2 glass, which is stated to be 2x more resistant to scratches, alongside a 7-layer reflective coating.
Apple also announced the iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max, and Air models. The iPhone 17 Air will be the company’s thinnest phone model yet, measuring just 5.6mm thin with a 6.5-inch Pro Motion display. It features Ceramic Shield on both the front and back, making it far more damage-resistant than previous Air models. The air comes in four colors — black, white, gold, and sky blue. Per Apple, the iPhone Air will have an A19 Pro chipset, with a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU featuring the second generation of Apple’s Dynamic Caching architecture. Apple says it’s the fastest mobile chip.
The iPhone Pro and Pro Max feature an aluminum frame and a new vapor chamber to help dissipate heat and deliver top thermal performance. The 17 Pro will only come in silver, blue, and orange, confirming earlier rumors of no black model. The prices for the new iPhone models are as follows:
- iPhone 17- $799 for 256GB
- iPhone 17 Air- $999 for 256GB

New Apple AirPods Pro 3
The new AirPods feature improved spatial audio with a wider sound stage. Active noise cancellation is aided by new foam eartips. The earbuds also get live translation features using Apple Intelligence. You trigger it with a new gesture, and ANC lowers the voice of who’s speaking so that you can hear the translation. The iPhone displays your words in the language of the person you’re speaking with.
Furthermore, the AirPods Pro 3 gain heart-rate sensing technology. There are sensors in the earbuds themselves. That lets you track workouts from your earbuds when connected to your iPhone.
The AirPods Pro 3 will offer 8 hours of battery life on a single charge. That’s up from 6 hours. The hearing aid feature can last for 10 hours. The cost of the new AirPods Pro 3 will be $249, the same price as before. Pre-orders start today, and the earbuds go on sale September 19.
New Apple Watch 2025 Lineup

Lastly, Apple announced its new and improved Apple Watch lineup, featuring new updates to the popular wristwear. “Each year, we make Apple Watch even more essential,” Tim Cook said during the event. To make it more essential this time around, Apple adjusted the display of the Apple Watch 11 to be 2x more scratch-resistant than the Apple Watch 10. The new model has 5G connectivity built in as well, making it more power-efficient to use less battery when connected to cellular.
In terms of its popular health benefits, Apple Watch 11 taps into the optical heart sensor to alert you if it identifies patterns of hypertension, i.e., high blood pressure. This feature does require FDA clearance, but Apple says it expects the approval soon. Beyond that, Apple is adding a sleep score to the watch, so that you can act upon all that data your watch collects as you sleep. You’ll be able to track your sleep score over time on your phone and in the Sleep app on your watch. Finally, the Apple Watch 11 will last longer — 24 hours instead of 18 on previous models.
