The new Goblin Town NFTs have taken the digital artwork world by storm and reached the top spot in less than 2-weeks post-launch. The Goblins NFT is now experiencing high demand and if the buying pressure continues, might even overtake Bored Ape Yacht Club’s (BAYC) fame and finances. Goblin Town boasts a collection of 10,000 NFTs and saw unprecedented success after its launch on May 19, 2022. The creators of the Goblin NFTs are anonymous and nobody knows their history and previous successes or failures. However, rumors are doing the rounds that Yuga Labs, the creators of BAYC and Mutant Apes might be anonymously working behind the Goblins NFT project.

Real-time NFT and crypto insights provider Nansen was the first to claim that BAYC creators might be behind the Goblins NFT. In a series of tweets, Nansen compared BAYC to Goblins highlighting the similarities between the two.

Nansen stressed the fact that only someone with a successful NFT project can launch something like Goblins Town and make it reach the top in no time. It took BAYC an average time of 9-weeks to reach a base price of 4.1 ETH but took just 9-days for Goblins to reach 5.7 ETH. Only someone with experience in handling a successful project could deliver this kind of phenomenal results.

Also, another thing to be noted is that ‘Smart’ NFT buyers are purchasing both BAYC and Goblins. ‘Franklinisbored’, who is the top 5 BAYC holder, also picked up a Goblins NFT for 5.4 ETH recently.

The insights provider, Nansen also shared several other NFT users who now own both BAYC and Goblins side-by-side. Also, the Goblins NFTs are already up nearly 50% from their base price due to high demand.

“Is there any similarity between BoredApeYC and Goblin Town? One was created during the bull market for the OGs who were bored, while the other was launched as a free mint during the bear for fun. Let’s see what the numbers tell us (with new #NFT feature updates!)” tweeted Nansen.

Below is the series of tweets that suggests Yuga Labs might be behind the Goblins Town NFT collections.
