Over the past few weeks, a host of new partnerships have been announced by companies in the crypto space. Right from expanding product ranges to enhancing customer services—an array of boxes have been ticked. In what is the latest development, Ark Invest has announced its new partnership with Eaglebrook Advisors.

Via the collaboration, ARK Investment will be making two of its actively managed crypto strategies available to registered investment advisors. The strategies will be available as separately managed accounts.

Elaborating on the same, Cathie Wood—ARK’s Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer—said in a statement,

The strategies will be separately managed accounts (SMAs) designed to meet the needs of financial advisors, wealth managers, and their clients by offering direct ownership, low minimums, and portfolio reporting integration amongst other benefits. Advisors can differentiate themselves and add to a client’s diversification by adding this new asset class to their portfolios.

Ark’s Cryptocurrency Strategy primarily invests in Bitcoin and Ethereum. Its Cryptoasset Strategy, on the other hand, seeks to invest in the top 10 or 20 coins associated with smart contract networks, DeFi, Web3, infrastructure, and scaling.

The Crypto Economy

Top crypto assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum have shed approximately 60% of their value over the past year. Leaving aside the short-term hesitancy, the macro accumulation trend is still on. The number of addresses HODLing more than 0.1 BTC clinched a new ATH of 3.8 million recently, justifying the same.

The same suggests that crypto fundamentals remain to be strong. Elaborating on the same Yassine Elmandjra, ARK’s Cryptoasset Analyst said,

“Crypto’s price action in the last year suggests that the ecosystem is fundamentally stronger than investors in traditional asset management are willing to acknowledge.”

Elmandjra further added that the investment firm believes that much of the “speculative behavior” has “died down,” and this “presents an attractive entry point for investors.” Resultantly, the latest launch could prove to be a game changer for the industry and help in fostering mainstream adoption even further.
