Binance has announced that it has successfully registered as a Financial Service Provider with the New Zealand Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment. The exchange’s CEO Changpeng Zhao shared the news on the company’s official Twitter Thursday, launching “Binance New Zealand.”
“New Zealand is an exciting market with a strong history of fintech innovation,” the CEO says. “Our team of Binancians in New Zealand are working hard to bring freedom of Crypto to Kiwis.”
The exchange continues to grow around the world as the top crypto exchange. Outside of New Zealand, it is currently looking to resume services in Japan. New Zealand has had a growing interest in cryptocurrency adoption over the past year, with the creation of multiple mining facilities in the country. Now, they look to get another step in the door with the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment approving Binance.
More information will be announced about Binance New Zealand in the coming days.
