In a recent presentation ceremony from Vladimir Putin, a BRICS member country, Russia, announced that the country will place a special focus on the alliance in 2024. Indeed, the president has recently visited two of the bloc’s expansion countries, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During the speech, Putin discussed the continued establishment of BRICS and Russia’s role in facilitating that. Subsequently, he highlighted how the country would take a significant role in the continued development of the bloc heading into the new year.

Putin States Russia Will Place Special Focus on BRICS in 2024
Throughout 2023, the BRICS economic alliance has seen tremendous growth. Both in its status globally and its six-country expansion effort, the bloc has ascended to more impressive heights. Now, one of the original members of the bloc has spoken on its role in the bloc going forward into next year.
Specifically, the BRICS member state, Russia, has announced that it will place a special focus on the alliance heading into 2024. Indeed, President Vladimir Putin spoke at a recent presidential ceremony where he outlined the role of the country heading into the upcoming year.

“In general, we intend to contribute in every possible way to enhancing the role of eh association in addressing topical issues on the global agenda,” Putin stated. Moreover, he added the country’s desire to “make efforts to strengthen comprehensive strategic partnership within the BRICS framework.”
Ultimately, Russia has embraced its position as aiding BRICS in increasing its involvement in global issues. Subsequently, the country will continue to increase its standing within the geopolitical perspective. Moreover, that should inform the bloc’s ascension and journey toward a multipolar world.
