Alphabet’s Google stock (NASDAQ: GOOG) opened Tuesday’s trading session at $343 and remains range-bound on the charts this month. The search engine giant has seen a growth of nearly 2.5% since September and is struggling to reclaim and hold itself above the $350 level. The leading equity is being pushed back to the $330 zone every time it comes close to hitting the $350 mark. The development is testing the patience of investors, as GOOG has been stagnant in the indices since mid-May 2026.

On the heels of the ongoing price stagnation, leading global financial services firm and investment bank Cantor Fitzgerald has reiterated its price prediction for Google stock. In a note to clients sent on Monday (October 5, 2026), Cantor Fitzgerald’s Senior Equity Research Analyst, Deepak Mathivanan, wrote in the note to institutional clients to begin accumulating GOOG, as the prospects and returns would be much higher.

According to the latest price prediction from the Cantor Fitzgerald analyst, Google stock could reach a new target of $420.

The Cantor Fitzgerald analyst maintained his buy call for Google stock with an Overweight rating. The analyst reasoned that valuation centers are the key drivers for GOOG to climb above the $400 range. He highlighted Alphabet’s aggressive Gemini expansion, which accelerated from 750 million users to 950 million users in a year. Apart from Gemini, the analyst wrote in the note that Alphabet controls every tier in the AI value chain.

This includes proprietary TPU custom chips and foundational models to its sprawling consumer distribution platforms like Android, its search engine, and YouTube. Therefore, Alphabet is already in a position of advantage to leverage itself in the AI industry. This would act as a fundamental catalyst for Google stock’s valuation to rise above the $400 level and reach a target of $420, he wrote in the note.
