Citi’s Atif Malik has raised AMD’s stock price target from $575 to $800. Malik believes the launch of Meta Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent, could boost AMD’s chip sales. The analyst states, “Following the release of Meta Muse and our subsequent CPU TAM raise, we are raising estimates on AMD given our belief that AMD will be the primary beneficiary of the CPU renaissance and our belief that Meta is one of the largest customers of AMD’s server business.“

Citi believes AMD will be a key player in the age of agentic AI. Unlike generative AI that relies on GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) power, agentic AI depends more on CPU (Central Processing Unit) power.

According to Malik, CPU TAM [total addressable market] for AMD will surge from $29 billion in 2025 to $300 billion in 2030. The figures represents a 60% CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate). Malik says, “We still expect AMD to be the key beneficiary of the CPU renaissance and Intel as a secondary beneficiary.“

AMD has been one of the best-performing stocks amid an AI boom. The company’s revenue has repeatedly beat Wall Street expectations. AMD registered a revenue surged of nearly 50% year over year to $11.5 billion. Analyst projections, meanwhile, were at approximately $11.34 billion. The trend is likely to continue given the growing demand for AI chips and data centers.

AMD also recently announced that it will acquire World Labs, a leading AI model lab, for $8.2 billion. The acquisition may further strengthened Wall Street expectations for AMD’s stock value. The stock recently hit a new all-time high of $658.52 on October 5th, 2026. The company’s market cap also breached the $1 trillion mark in late September, becoming one of the few companies in the world to do so.
