Binance’s Changpeng Zhao has once again predicted a new timeline for the crypto market enthusiasts to make sense of. Adoringly referred to as CZ, known for his unique crypto market insights, in his recent Binance Square AMA, CZ shared how crypto capital is now taking on a new role, supporting sectors that may deliver a new definition to the cryptocurrency domain altogether. CZ Thinks This Is Where Crypto Capital Is Heading Next
According to Binance’s former CEO Changpeng Zhao, the crypto capital is now slowly making its way towards a new sector. While speaking at the Binance Square AMA, CZ shared how he thinks the crypto capital will now move towards RWA and tokenization alongside the prediction market domain. He shared how the majority of the countries are now talking about tokenization, which could be the next breakout thing in crypto if it catches pace.
“My prediction is most likely going to be wrong. But I do think that quite a lot of attention is now paid to real-world assets based on my conversations and based on my time talking to people. Every country I talk to wants to tokenize some asset in their country.”
And because for countries, if you tokenize an asset, the countries get money immediately. And then you can ship the goods later when people want to redeem the token. And the token creates the economy for that asset class.”
In addition to this, CZ further shared how prediction markers may also become the next big thing in the crypto market structure.
“This year or next year, I don’t know when it is, but I think the World Cup is coming soon. So prediction markets can be pretty hot around the World Cup. And then prediction markets can be hot around elections and all these other events. Those things are relatively obvious, but I could be wrong. There usually are some things that come out of left field that you never imagined and that become really hot.”
The Methodology: What Makes RWAs Work?
As CZ went forward to explain how the crypto market system may next support RWA, he was quick to explain how this element can help countries generate sizable income. While giving an example of Kyrgyzstan’s excessive water capacity, CZ suggested how the country can tokenize those levels to generate more income.
“Many countries have very good high mountain water, right? So Kyrgyzstan has a lot of water. If they can tokenize it, water is more expensive than oil. I don’t know if everybody recognizes that. Per liter, today, the drinking water is usually more expensive than oil. If you tokenize that, you can get a lot of income. So I think RWAs are going to be, and tokenization is going to be a pretty big one.”
