With the 45th President set to speak at this week’s Bitcoin Conference 2024 in Nashville, Donald Trump has raised more than $4 million in Bitcoin and other crypto campaign donations. Alongside BTC, contributors have donated Ripple (XRP), Ethereum (ETH), the stablecoin USDC, and other meme coins.

The outpouring of support signals a clear connection with crypto traders. Trump has not been shy about his advocacy of the asset class, which is looking to be a major part of his reelection campaign. The crypto world is now anxiously awaiting what he could reveal in Tennessee this week.

Donald Trump Gets $4M Backing from Crypto Voters

Cryptocurrencies have proven to be a massive political issue in 2024. The asset class has become a clear dividing line, with Donald Trump’s advocacy resulting in more than $4 million worth of Bitcoin campaign donations, according to a CNBC report.

Recent filings show that 19 donors had given more than $2.15 million in BTC to the Trump 47 fundraising committee. From April 1st to June 30th, the committee has already raised more than $118 million. Moreover, Trump is set to benefit, with 12 of those Bitcoin donors hailing from key battleground states.

Earlier this month, several prominent figures in the industry announced financial support for Trump. Filings show that Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss contributed more than $1 million. The duo’s contribution surpassed the $844,600 max limit, with the rest refunded to the twins.

Trump’s appearance at the Bitcoin Conference 2024 is attracting quite the crowd. Currently, roundtable seats on the day of his speech feature ticket prices as high as $844,600. Those sales will also contribute to the Trump 47 committee, and contribute to the ongoing campaign.
