Elon Musk, the man behind SpaceX and Tesla has been making headlines in the cryptocurrency market for his recent statements. Musk has been both intentionally and unintentionally part of the cryptocurrency ecosystem. His inclination towards Dogecoin [DOGE] managed to put Musk on the cryptocurrency map. But, his love-hate relationship with Bitcoin [BTC] remains a mystery to many. His latest comments on the market revealed that he was taking a cautious route.

Earlier today the Tesla Owners Silicon Valley account hosted an X Takeover podcast. Appearing on this, Musk was seen addressing his current stance on cryptocurrency. He affirmed that he wasn’t promoting any cryptocurrency and doesn’t intend to do so. He believes that there is merit in certain cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin. Apart from this, Elon Musk said,

“I’m not going to be promoting crypto—at most, in a joking way. If you see me pumping crypto, it’s not me.”

What About Dogecoin? Has Elon Musk Forgotten DOGE?

The OG meme coin DOGE was one of the first cryptocurrencies to hit the market. The asset got a major push when Musk began endorsing it. He even went on to onboard DOGE as a payment method at Tesla. During his latest appearance he pointed out that he has a soft spot for the meme coin. He linked it back to his love for dogs as well as memes. He said,

“I’ve sort of got a soft spot for Dogecoin because I like dogs and memes.”
