What’s Pushing Ethereum To $2500 And Can It Hit $2700 This Week?
Ethereum’s (ETH) rally comes amid a larger market-wide resurgence. Bitcoin (BTC) has reclaimed the $80,000 price level and other assets are following BTC’s lead. The market rally was triggered after President Donald Trump’s White House cryptocurrency event. Trump invited CEOs and founders of several platforms and companies to further push his administration’s pro-crypto stance. Trump also stated that the US was planning to purchase a large amount of Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies. The statement has likely led to surge in investor sentiment. Ethereum (ETH) was quick to follow BTC’s lead in the rally that followed.
Another reason behind Ethereum’s (ETH) surge to beyond $2500 could be the US Treasury’s decision to increase long-term bond buybacks. The move has likely led to an increase in liquidity which may have trickled into the cryptocurrency market. Ethereum (ETH) could continue its rally if the liquidity surge remains.

Ethereum (ETH) is also seeing increased ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) inflows. Farside Investors data shows that BlackRock’s ETHA ETH ETF saw more than $500 million worth of inflows since August 19, 2026. Increased ETF inflows played a substantial role in ETH hitting a new all-time high in 2025. If ETF inflows continue, the asset could very well reclaim the $2700 price level once again.
