Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) will release later this year. The game is expected to break records, like its predecessor, which came more than 11 years ago. Developer Rockstar Games has been very hush about the intricate details of their upcoming title.

1. Back to Vice City.
GTA 6 takes place in the fictional state of Leonida, which also includes Vice City. Returning to the Miami-inspired city will strike a nostalgia chord with many who grew up playing the original Grand Theft Auto (1997) or Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002).

2. Two Protagonists?
Rockstar introduced the concept of having multiple protagonists with GTA 5. In GTA 6, we will most likely control a female lead, Lucia, and her male counterpart. The duo seems to have a “Bonnie and Clyde” type of dynamic, committing crimes together in Vice City.
3. In-Built Cryptocurrency?
There is a lot of talk about GTA 6 having some sort of built-in payment system. Many anticipate this to be a type of blockchain-based currency similar to crypto. Despite the rumors, there is no official word on whether the game will feature any crypto-based payments or not.
4. GTA 6 Release Date
Rockstar Games is yet to announce an official launch date. The game’s trailer stated it will be out in the fall of 2025. GTA 5 came out on Sept. 17, 2013. The next title may have a similar launch date.

The game is also stated to be out on consoles before making its PC debut. PS5 and XBOX sales may pick up steam as we approach the latter part of this year.
