It’s no doubt that Shiba Inu [SHIB] is one of the highly sought-after crypto assets. Despite entering the market years after the release of prominent crypto projects, SHIB still made it big. Now, with a massive following and presence in the industry, SHIB decided to broaden its interests. A recent tweet from the SHIB Army revealed that they had met with the Turkish government.

As per a tweet, the Shiba Inu team in Turkey had a face-to-face meeting with the former Economy Minister of Turkey, Mustafa Elitaş. They reportedly educated the minister about the Shib ecosystem at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

This was great news for the Shiba Inu ecosystem. As the community celebrated this leap, Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer at SHIB pointed out the global adoption of the altcoin at such an early stage.

Furthermore, the latest meeting did not come off as a surprise considering Turkey’s increased interest in Shiba Inu.

Turkey loves Shiba Inu

Dog lovers assemble! The adoption rate of Shiba Inu cannot be matched. The ever surging demand for the altcoin was also found in Turkey following high inflation. As per a report, it was noted that Turkish individuals were seeking an alternative for the Lira. SHIB and Tether [USDT] seemed to be the choice of many.

Strahinja Savic, head of data and analytics at Toronto-based FRNT Financial previously stated,

The data shows despite the instability faced by the lira, local traders are still attracted to the exceptional returns associated with coins such as SHIB.

It was further speculated that this could have been the reason behind the government’s interest in the altcoin.

Additionally, SHIB is also part of one of Turkey’s prominent crypto exchanges, Bitexen.

During press time, Shiba Inu was enduring a bit of a slump. The asset was trading for $0.00002292 with a daily drop of 5 percent.
