Popular crypto wallet MetaMask has partnered with payments giant Stripe to enable direct fiat-to-crypto purchases for users in the United States.
In an announcement on Twitter, the team said the Stripe integration will power crypto onramps on its mobile app, browser extension, and MetaMask Portfolio.
Leveraging Stripe’s Link one-click payment solution, the feature aims to optimize authorization rates and simplify buying crypto with a debit or credit card.
As one of the largest payment processors globally, Stripe brings extensive financial infrastructure and smooth payment experiences. Millions of websites currently use Stripe services.

MetaMask-Stripe integration makes the fiat onramp easier
The integration grants the wallet’s primarily Ethereum-focused users access to a trusted and mainstream fiat onramp directly from their wallets.
By forming connections with leading fintech brands like Stripe, MetaMask continues bridging crypto with traditional finance. Simplifying retail access through trusted platforms is key to mainstream adoption.
