Bitcoin is hovering around the $77,000 level, and institutional client Morgan Stanley is heavily accumulating the cryptocurrency through the ETF route. This is among the reasons why BTC has maintained the $77,000 level this month, with little to no dips in the charts. The world’s biggest cryptocurrency by market cap is receiving an influx from institutional funds, cementing its position at the current levels.
According to the latest data from SoSoValue, Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust (MSBT) has been on a buying spree, accumulating roughly $62.2 million worth of BTC this month. The MSBT has purchased BTC ETF 11 times in the last 20 days. The last purchase was recorded on Friday (September 11, 2026) and was worth a staggering $3.76 million. The accumulation spree is being closely watched by market enthusiasts, as the global investment bank remains bullish on the cryptocurrency.
The Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust currently holds approximately $610.13 million in net assets. While the investment bank purchased BTC on 11 of the 20 days, no outflows were recorded. The ETF only received an influx of investments, with the banking giant not pressing the sell button. The development lends confidence to retail investors that banking giants could be in for it for the long term. BTC has been hovering around the $75,000 to $78,000 level in September and has remained range-bound on the charts.
