We’ve all seen the Mcdonald’s memes floating about on the internet. For those who don’t know, subsequent to the recent crypto market crash, the internet was flooded with memes about cryptocurrency investors and users taking up 9 to 5 jobs at Mcdonald’s. The joke went on to spawn a series of Mcdonald’s job application NFT’s that has since become very famous. Dogecoin warrior, Elon Musk, jumped on the bandwagon and publicly stated on Twitter that he would “eat a happy meal on tv if Mcdonalds  accepts Dogecoin.”

The latest to hop in was none other than MrBeast.

MrBeast wants Dogecoin?

Joining in on the fun was Jimmy Donaldson, the popular YouTuber famously known as MrBeast. MrBeast had started his restaurant venture called MrBeast Burgers in December of 2020. In a recent Tweet, MrBeast Burger offered to accept Dogecoin (DOGE) as payment, in exchange for a retweet from Elon Musk.

With no response from Mcdonalds regarding Elon Musk’s offer, MrBeast sure went ahead and gave it a shot.

The DOGE community, including founder Billy Markus, asked MrBeast Burger to continue with the Dogecoin payment mechanism, regardless of whether Musk retweeted or not.

Doge to make a comeback?

Dogecoin sure seems to be on everyone’s mind as the market recovers from the recent plummet. Although we are yet to see the metrics completely rebound, recent events sure tell us about the dog coin’s popularity. This only further solidifies Dogecoin’s place among the bigger cryptocurrencies. The Doge community has never failed to shower love and much-needed support in these turbulent times.

While the DOGE community eagerly waits to be accepted by McDonald’s or MrBeast Burger, it’s worth noting that Dogecoin is accepted in nearly 2,000 establishments and services.

At the time of publication, Dogecoin is trading at $0.142931, with a 7-day plummet of 12%.
