Nvidia (NVDA) stock seems to be experiencing an upward surge after OpenAI launched its GPT-6 Astra model. In an X post on Sunday, Nvidia CEO Jansen Huang stated that “AGI has arrived.” AGI stands for Artificial General Intelligence, and is a hypothetical artificial intelligence that can match or surpass human capabilities. The launch of OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra seems to be pushing NVDA stock closer to its all-time high. Let’s discuss why.

According to Huang’s X post, OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra was trained on more than 100,000 Nvidia Grace Blackwell NVLink72 chips. Huang further said that another 400,000 GPUs (Graphics Processing Unit) will come online next. The move could lead to a substantial increase in investor confidence. The news about OpenAI’s GPT-6 has already got people talking. When 400,000 additional GPUs come online, we may most likely see some positive price action.
