Predictions platform Polymarket is partnering with Nasdaq Private Market to allow users to trade private companies. Per a press release from the former, Nasdaq Private Market will serve as the resolution data provider for event contracts involving private companies on Polymarket.
According to Polymarket’s press release, the first private company prediction markets are available on Polymarket today. Additional markets will continue rolling out on an ongoing basis. The new offering will give individuals a way to engage with verifiable private company events, such as valuation milestones, IPO timing, and secondary market activity. This newest partnership will allow Polymarket to support a broader range of event contracts, enabling markets to resolve before companies ever go public.
“Nasdaq Private Market has established itself as a trusted source of liquidity and investment infrastructure across the private market ecosystem,” said Tom Callahan, CEO of Nasdaq Private Market. “Polymarket has built a platform that can open access to a broader audience. We are proud to provide the data that ensures every market resolves accurately. When retail participants enter any market, high-integrity data matters.”
