Amid the abundant hype around the asset, a former executive at Ripple Labs has predicted $5 XRP when the company launches an ETF and an IPO. Indeed, former Ripple Director Sean McBride was not shy in his bullish prediction on the offerings that could come to the ecosystem in the coming years.

McBride, who served as the firm’s Director of Global Talent Acquisition previously, noted that the two offerings could come in 2025. Moreover, he is echoing sentiments that were shared by Ripple’s current CEO Brad Garlinghouse. Specifically, he told Bloomberg that the company would welcome the investment product following the Spot Bitcoin ETF approvals earlier this year.

Ripple Former Exec. Says ETF and IPO Are Coming in 2025

Since the start of the year, the digital asset market has anxiously observed the performance of Ripple. Many have marked 2024 as a turnaround year for its XRP. Amid its growing global payment business and the impending conclusion of its legal battles with the SEC, an upswing was certainly in the cards for the asset.

Now, that is slowly starting to come to fruition, with the token up 8% since the start of February. However, one individual has made some rather bullish predictions for the asset in the coming years. Specifically, former Ripple executive Sean McBride has noted a $5 XRP price could come from an ETF and IPO launch soon.

in a post to X (formerly Twitter), McBride spoke with certainty on the subject. Specifically, he said that an XRP EF would come to fruition in either 2024 or 2025. Moreover, he noted that a Ripple IPO outside of the United States would arrive in 2025. Furthermore, Trading View noted that the $5 mark is in view for the asset based on McBRide’s assertions.

The development certainly does not appear out of the question for the asset. Brad Garlinghouse spoke optimistically about the asset’s ongoing legal conflicts. Subsequently, he assured that more ETFs are undoubtedly on the way. An XRP ETF would be a long shot to arrive this year, but it does not appear to be entirely out of the question for the digital asset.
