The phrase ‘Hey Robinhood, when Shiba Inu listing?’ is echoing since August 2021 and has refused to die down even after six months. The SHIB x Robinhood listing reached a feverous pitch in October after the meme-token spiked +1,000 in the indices. Investors are eager to see the leading exchange get SHIB onboard and are banging on Robinhood’s doors daily.

It has now come to a point that Robinhood top executives are unable to sit at any given interview without answering questions about a Shiba Inu listing. Here’s a timeline on how the top Robinhood executives reacted when asked if they’d list SHIB on their platform.

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev Answers Shiba Inu Listing – October 2021

The CEO of Robinhood Vlad Tenev appeared in a CNBC segment ‘Mad Money – The Rise of Retail Investor’. The television host Jim Kramer asked Tenev about listing Shiba Inu on Robinhood.

Here’s what Tenev answered,

“We only offer seven coins currently and I think it goes back to safety first. So we’re not generally going to be the first to add any new asset. We want to make sure that it goes through a stringent set of criteria.”

Crypto Division COO Christine Brown – November 2021

The COO of Robinhood’s crypto division Christine Brown attended an event hosted by Decrypt. The Editor-in-Chief, Dan Roberts asked her about listing Shiba Inu on Robinhood and she answered ”We’re not going to talk about it.”

She further added,

“We think that the short-term gain we might get is not worth the long-term trade-off for our users. We want to make sure that we’re working in assessing everything from a regulatory perspective well.”

Jason Warnick, Robinhood CFO Answered a SHIB Question – January 2022

CFO of Robinhood, Jason Warnick attended the WSJ CFO Network Summit, which was an online event. During a Q&A session, a user asked him if Robinhood plans to list meme currencies. The user inadvertently meant Shiba Inu, despite not telling out its name.

”It’s not lost on us that our customers and others would like to see us add more coins. Countless requests to add more cryptocurrencies have not fallen on deaf ears,” he said.

Aparna Chennapragada, Robinhood CPO on SHIB Listing – January 2022

The Chief Product Officer of Robinhood, Aparna Chennapragada, appeared in an interview with Bloomberg. The host, Emily Chang asked her, “Are you gonna list Shiba Inu or not?”.

“I was almost sure Emily that you’ll start with ‘When SHIB’. First of all, I really appreciate that community, and I love seeing their energy around Robinhood. We don’t take that for granted. At the same time I can’t talk about token listings,’” answered Chennapragada.

CEO Vlad Tenev, Again – February 2022

Vlad Tenev answered questions during an online event and a user asked him. ”Does Robinhood plan to open trading to other cryptocurrencies? And are we going to list Shiba Inu, Vlad?”

“So we’ve been hearing from customers loudly. We know they want more cryptocurrencies on the platform, and we’ve been proactively engaging with regulators,” he answered.

CBO of Robinhood Steve Quirk on Shiba Inu Listing – February 2022

Robinhood’s CBO Steve Quirk appeared in the CNBC segment Squawk Box. He pointed out that they were exploring compliant ways to onboard more cryptocurrencies.

“We are doing a lot of exploration on finding compliant ways to expand that. We also have aspirations to take this brand global,” said Steve Quirk.
