SaitaMask, a decentralized one-stop platform that offers a crypto wallet to investors, did not have a particularly smooth-sailing launch. The native app has faced several setbacks since its launch on 8 January this year, despite being certified by auditing firm CertiK to be “issue free and hacker resistant.” Nevertheless, the development team has been committed to developing the project and they have been working towards polishing the edges.
In what is the latest development, Saitama announced that it SaitaMask was back up and running again. Their official statement released on Wednesday on Twitter noted,
“We are thrilled to announce that SaitaMask is fully operational on Android devices and will be fully operational on iOS devices shortly.“
Their notice also clarified that once the iOS update was available, users would be able to start swapping “immediately.”
Saitama also made it a point to thank its community and the users for patiently waiting for the engineers to re-enable the swap function. The facilitation of the same did take some extra time, Saitama proclaimed that it wanted to ensure that SaitaMask was operational, easy to use, safe and secure before the re-enablement.
With respect to bot activity, Saitama revealed,
“We are happy to announce that since the swap opened, there has been zero bot activity.“
In fact, the CTO of Saitama, Max Hernandez tweeted about the release a day in prior itself.
Community stands divided
A few from the community thanked Max and the development team for their efforts. For instance, a particular user noted,
“First swap is in the books. Seamless. Smooth. No glitches. What a beautiful thing. Congrats to the dev team. Well done boys.”
However, users from another side of the spectrum promptly pin-pointed out the still-existing flaws. Right from updates and network issues to pin discrepancies, the comment section parallelly noted a host of complaints.
