Atkins Takes Charge Of The US SEC

Paul Atkins, a Bitcoin proponent and a cryptocurrency supporter, has now been sworn in as the next SEC chair. Atkins, soon after assuming official duties, delivered a power-packed statement, adding how he wishes to establish equilibrium in the domain of cryptocurrency.

He shared how his top priority during the tenure would be to deliver a regulated crypto environment with digital asset regulation as his top priority.

“A top priority in my chairmanship will be to provide a firm regulatory foundation for digital assets through a rational, coherent, and principled approach.”

At the same time, Michael Saylor, former CEO of Strategy, took to X to share how Atkins will be good for the domain of Bitcoin and crypto.

What About Ripple ETFs?

With Atkins assuming the official duties of the US SEC, speculation around the approval of XRP ETFs has now started to gain steam again. The narrative is now catching speed as investors are hoping for a speedy approval process.

If all goes well, Atkins’s first bold move will include approving a plethora of new ETFs, bringing a new era of ETFs in the market for investors to explore.
