As buyers flock to exchanges for Shiba Inu tokens amidst the recent price pump, the action is unfolding elsewhere in its metaverse. Investors are locking horns to grab the limited number of plots and a plethora of transactions have already taken place since the event went live.
Reportedly, over 4500 transactions were placed for virtual plots of land in Shiba Inu’s metaverse since the 3-day land auction event kickstarted on 13 April. A total of 66,000 virtual plots of land are available for sale but only 35,000 plots were made publicly available during the initial auction phase.
Time Running Out On Shiba Inu’s Countdown Clock
Shiba Inu influencer MILKSHAKE stumbled upon a bid event countdown’ in SHIB’s virtual Ryo Plaza, which showed that a little less than 2 days were left until the auction process concluded. At press time, a day and 14 hours were remaining on the clock.
To buy property in the Shiberse, users first have to lock in a minimum of 0.2 LEASH for at least 45 days. Those who allocate more LEASH tokens during the event and for a longer duration get priority access. Final payment for the auctioned land will be made using Ether.
Shiba Inu’s fans have been eagerly awaiting for the metaverse to go live ever since lead developer Shytoshi Kusama hinted at plans in November last year. Over the next few months, Shiba Inu’s team brought the concept to life by launching a new metaverse Twitter handle to share trailers and updates regarding its metaverse developments.
