Shiba Inu: Next Shibarium Hard Fork Will Make It Faster

In a recent Discord update by DaVinci, it has been revealed that Shiba Inu’s Shibarium network has successfully undergone a hard fork. The primary objective behind this technical maneuver is to elevate the efficiency of token burns within the Shibarium network. This encompasses not only SHIB but also BONE

Shiba Inu’s layer-2 solution, Shibarium, has been a cornerstone of the cryptocurrency’s infrastructure. According to Shytoshi Kusama, Shibarium has demonstrated an impressive transaction handling capability of 200 transactions per second. However, this achievement is just the starting point for the network’s capabilities.

Upcoming Shibarium hard fork can aid in upgraded capabilities

The upcoming hard fork, as disclosed by Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya, is poised to catapult Shibarium’s transaction processing speed to even greater heights.

Dhairya stated in a tweet, “Actually, it’s 200/ sec as per the current block limit for a certain type of transactions, capacity is way higher and it will be increased with the increase in block capacity in the next hard fork.”

The hard fork is strategically designed not only to enhance burns but also to facilitate multiple token-burning functionalities within the Shibarium network. This marks a strategic move by the Shiba Inu development team to optimize the ecosystem’s tokenomics. Thus, it will also bolster the utility of the ecosystem tokens.
