You can now own virtual pieces of land in the Shiba Inu Metaverse. The SHIB team announced expanding their ecosystems with the release of properties in the virtual world. The development allows token-holders to own land and be a part of the doggy-themed Metaverse. However, there would be a queue system for bidding the properties and first priority will be given to Leash holders to stay ahead of the line.
The properties will first go under auction and users can bid their desired land and location after its release. Nonetheless, the release date of the ‘properties for sale’ is not confirmed, but mentioned in the blog as “really soon”.
Also, Leash and Bone holders are gaining an added advantage lately. All major developments, including Shibarium and Doggy DAO are seeing Bone and Leash being the primary token for transactions.
Developer Penny had previously tweeted mentioning Leash hinting that an announcement would be made. “Hold your dog’s leash like a pro,” he said.
SHIB’s Metaverse, called ‘Shiberse’, is now in direct competitors to Decentraland, Sandbox, Gala Games and Axie Infinity, among others. The Metaverse and gaming tokens allow users to buy virtual properties and SHIB is ploughing through the market.
Despite being a newcomer in the Metaverse-sphere, Shiba Inu has already gained attention of investors and believe in its promises.
Also, to prevent high gas fees (which happened during the Shiboshi NFT launch in 2021), the team is building a queue system for its land release. “This will make the process something fair and smooth for our community worldwide,” the blog read.
Shiba Inu ‘Land’ Will Unlock After Leash Holders Bidding Process
The blog confirmed that only after Leash holders bid for their respective properties, the team will unlock the Metaverse to the public.
“This queue allows exclusivity by requiring interested parties to hold “$LEASH”. Which gives priority and exclusive access to this first selling phase of the land plots in our Metaverse. In addition to the queue, we also have worked on an anti-dump system in order to protect $LEASH holders. The remaining lands will then unlock, and become available for the public after this exclusive selling process finalizes.”
“Owning a piece of Shiba Real Estate will bring an array of benefits! We are not stopping, this is just the beginning.” However, they did not specify the benefits yet but an announcement could be made soon.
