Shiba Inu has risen close to 22% in a week in a remarkable surge after nearly 18 months. The dog-themed token has rarely surged by double digits since 2025, marking a new chapter in July. The development signals that SHIB could be attracting buying pressure and its price could bottom out at $0.0000055. The token is displaying its pre-2023-era dominance, when rising above 10% was as normal as day.

Shiba Inu was trading with four zeroes from 2021 to 2024, with only a few dips to five zeroes. It rebounded in value whenever it fell to the $0.000009 level, displaying confidence that its place is above $0.00001. However, things have changed since 2025, and SHIB is unable to delete its fifth zero. The investments have dried up, and new and first-time traders are giving the dog-themed token a miss.

Money is instead being poured into the AI sector, where chances of good returns are higher. Shiba Inu is now seen as just a meme currency with no underlying use case. It has no value in the real world, and the financial system can operate without its presence. This is what has dented its prospects, as the SHIB team has failed to bring use cases to the token. Even Digecoin bit the dust for similar reasons, as jokes can only take a token this far.

Moreover, Shiba Inu might not reach $0.00001 soon because its trading volume has already dipped by 18% compared to the previous day. This could be just another price spike where it has no support in the upward trajectory. Also, to even delete its fifth zero and reach $0.00001, SHIB must rise 100% from here. In the current scenario, such a jump sounds meaningless, as even Bitcoin and Ethereum are struggling in the charts.
