William Volk, Alpha Director at Shiba Inu, gave fans and investors the first look at SHIB’s upcoming game, made in collaboration with PlaySide Studios. Volk is a former Head at the world-famous game studio, Activision.

Volk put out an invite via Twitter and asked fans and investors who were at the Game Developers Conference 2022 (GDC),  to join him and the team from Shiba Inu and Playside Studios, for an informal party at the Press Club bar and lounge. The team also offered the first drink for the first 30 attendees.

Apart from the free drinks, the fans were treated to a special sneak peek at the upcoming game, the title for which has not yet been disclosed. And, to the delight of the SHIB Army, from what’s been heard, Volk seems to have blown them away.

Shiba Inu Games release date

The Shiba Inu and PlaySide collaboration was announced in December 2021, which involved signing a strategic gaming partnership. It was stated that the estimated time to complete the game would be 8 months. That would put the game’s launch around August 2022. However, no official release date has been released as of yet.

The team is yet to release an official trailer or playthrough of the game, but from what was shown to the fans, we can confirm that we will see a Shiba Inu dog in a karate uniform.

In an AMA with Watcher Guru, Volk had revealed that the game would not be a copy of an existing game,  but be something entirely unique. The gaming veteran stated that it would in fact be a collectible card game, but unlike any, we’ve seen before. Although the game is still in development, it seems to be moving full steam ahead.
