The Shiba Inu community is well aware of the project’s digital footprint expansion. What started with a decentralized exchange, Shiba Inu’s range of offerings has now extended to blockchain gaming, metaverse, and NFTs. As a result, its popularity has not been restricted to a single geographical boundary and its influence is growing around the world. Here’s a list of the countries in which Shiba Inu is greatly admired. (excluding the United States of America)

Italy – New SHIB HQ?

Starting off with the most obvious, Italy. The Shib team left no stone unturned in their efforts to penetrate the “Bel Paese”.

A collaboration with fast-food joint Welly’s gave locals and SHIB fans a taste of what’s to follow. The same was followed up with an alliance with Italian-based fashion designer John Richmond, bringing a collection of Shiba Inu-themed apparel to the public. Pictures of the SHIB token were regularly seen on trams, most notable, prior to the Milan Fashion Week.

Venezuelans and their love for crypto began way back in 2019 when hyperinflation gripped the nation and provided users with an alternate means of investment. Shiba Inu influencer Shiba Informer shared an article last year which highlighted Shiba Inu’s growing influence in Venezuela.

The country has several businesses which accept SHIB as a valid method of payment. The article read “So far, at the moment of this article being released, at least 15 places are accepting SHIB. Among those stores, they sell fast food, liquor, hardware, electronics, office supplies, services, and more.” By December 2021, the count of places accepting SHIB had risen to 100.

Shiba Inu’s admiration among Australians came after the project signed up with PlaySide studious for the release of 2 card-based games. Elite Australian video game developer William Volk is currently heading the alliance. Additionally, a survey released by Saxo Group showed that Shiba Inu is more popular in the down-under than Ripple and Cardano.

Turkey

The slash in Lira’s value made crypto extremely popular in Turkey. A report by The Guardian showed that an estimated 5 million people in Turkey operate crypto trading accounts and the country sees over a million crypto-related trades in a single day.

Although Shiba Inu is yet to make a name for itself among the locals, it has already done so among some cabinet members. Turkish SHIB team and former Minister of Economy Mustafa Elitaş met in March to discuss the role of the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
