Job portal Fiverr is receiving countless applications for ‘Discord grinders’. For the uninitiated, Discord has different groups and needs moderators who actively chat, reply and send updates for a topic. They also need to actively remove spammers and need full-time attention to ‘mod’ the group, therefore they’re a ‘moderator’.
The moderators are most likely to be a part of a cryptocurrency community, NFT, or gaming group. Cover letter for job applications on Fiverr pours in like,
“I will staff, mod, and be your crypto, gaming, or NFT discord moderator or manager. I will interactively chat on your discord server and NFT chat.”.

“Go to Fiverr and type in ‘Discord grinding’ or ‘whitelist.’ There are thousands of listings there, of professional grinders. It’s just some person in whatever country chatting away, grinding away for up to 10 hours a day. It’s a big job right now,” said developer Roberto Nickson during a recent Twitter Spaces session.

Discord Grinding: The New Form of Marketing & Communication
Discord grew due to the fact that there’s a moderator in charge who can answer all questions related to the particular crypto/game/NFT. Also, the majority of the questions thrown by members don’t go unnoticed and they receive answers through the moderators.
This two-way street of communication is missing on the other forms of social media like Twitter and Facebook and Discord filled in the void.
