Beyond Meat’s stock performance is a hit-and-miss rally that investors cannot depend on. In the last five years alone, BYND has lost nearly 99% of its value. It was trading at $178 in January 2021 and is now at $2.84 in October 2025. So there you go, the 367% rise is only a hogwash with little to nothing to celebrate.

After Beyond Meat stock fell below the $1 mark this year, it was at risk of being delisted on Nasdaq. The announcement also caused short interest to soar 30% and sellers made the most out of it. This is similar to the GameStop saga, but on a lighter note, without the hype. Investors are just trying to squeeze out whatever is left, which includes both buyers and short-sellers.

Coming to Beyond Meat’s stock performance, its rise had nothing to do with business prospects. BYND is now treated like a pump and dump asset that can go dramatically both ways. It’s sheer luck that investors made massive money this week. There is no guarantee that it could repeat the performance, as all cards are mostly decked against BYND.
