Following the advanced capabilities of its VET 1.0 and VET 2.0 protocols, VeChain has released the whitepapers for its upcoming follow-up, VET 3.0. Specifically, the document arrived at the HiVe and presented a roadmap for the forthcoming protocol. It was developed to aid the blockchain in growing its global impact.

In a Tweet posted yesterday, the platform released the whitepapers alongside the Boston Consulting Group. Moreover, the latter was cited as their global pattern, whose “vast reach [and] expertise,” will aid the blockchain in the sustainability practices it is seeking to implement with its technology.

VET 3.0 Unveiled in New Whitepaper

There are few blockchain platforms in the industry as committed to the goal of sustainability in blockchain technology as VeChain. The blockchain has worked alongside some of the biggest companies in the world, like Walmart. Specifically, working to use this technology in ways that make an immensely positive difference.

Now, that goal is continued, as VeChain has unveiled the whitepaper for the new VET 3.0 protocol. Additionally, the document headlines what will proceed with both the VET 1.0, and VET 2.0 protocols that were immensely successful. Moreover, the 72-page document details the ways in which it will aid the blockchain’s core focus in the coming years.

Specifically, the white paper noted its seeking of thoughtful partnerships in the coming years. Stating, “Small individual efforts, things like reducing personal food waste, will be multiplied across the community. For instance, our blockchain solutions will be integrated with municipal initiatives to help people donate food that is about to expire. We can then track the reduction in food waste at a scale.”

VeChain has clearly stated its commitment to sustainability in an industry long maligned for a lack of compliance. Through the commitments made by VET 3.0 and their proven partnerships, the coming years should provide ample opportunities for the protocol to make good on this mission.
