Additionally, some of the largest banks in the world are taking part in this experiment. The banks involved in the program include Citigroup, <a href=\"https:\/\/watcher.guru\/news\/binance-issues-mastercard-support-in-sell-crypto-for-fiat-feature\">Mastercard<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/watcher.guru\/news\/wells-fargo-asks-investors-to-sell-coinbase-stock\">Wells Fargo<\/a>, and others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A statement, first reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/markets\/currencies\/banking-giants-new-york-fed-start-12-week-digital-dollar-pilot-2022-11-15\/#:~:text=The%20pilot%20will%20test%20how,settlement%20time%20in%20currency%20markets.\">Reuters<\/a>, noted the banks involved and what the project will entail. The New York Fed noted, &#8220;The project, which is called the regulated liability network, will be conducted in a test environment and use simulated data.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specifically, the endeavor these banks and the New York Fed will attempt to quantify the impact of digital dollar tokens. This development comes after the head of the New York Federal Reserve, Michelle Neal, spoke on the promise of a digital dollar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Subsequently, Reuter noted Neal saw an opportunity, &#8220;in using a central bank digital dollar to speed up settlement time in currency markets.&#8221; Finally, the announcement arrived today with no timeline for the experiment&#8217;s
