The BRICS alliance has come out in support of Donald Trump after the attempted assassination of the former President during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The 20-year-old shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks fired multiple rounds from an elevated position killing a rally attendee and injuring two others, while one bullet zipped through Trump’s right ear. The shooter was taken down instantly by snipers while Trump was escorted to safety by the Secret Service.

BRICS members India, Russia, and Brazil, among other countries, have come out in solidarity with Donald Trump. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he is “concerned” about the attack on his dear “friend” and sent out his thoughts and prayers. Even China’s President Xi Jinping condemned the assassination attempt on Donald Trump and expressed his sympathies to Donald Trump.

Donald Trump Receives Support From BRICS
Narendra Modi called Donald Trump his close “friend” as the two share a close bond for decades. “Deeply concerned by the attack on my friend, former President Donald Trump. Strongly condemn the incident. Violence has no place in politics and democracies. Wish him a speedy recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased, those injured, and the American people,” said BRICS member India on Donald Trump’s assassination attempt.

BRICS member Russia has also shown solidarity with Donald Trump and questioned the Democrat agenda. “After numerous attempts to eliminate candidate Trump from the political arena, using first legal instruments, courts, and prosecutors, attempts to politically discredit and compromise the candidate. It was obvious to all outside observers that his life was in danger.”

Another BRICS country, Brazil called the assassination attempt “unacceptable”. Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said that the attempt “must be vehemently repudiated by all of those who defend democracy and dialogue in politics. What we saw today is unacceptable,” he tweeted.
