Adoption and expansion have been the central focus of the cryptocurrency industry. Over the last couple of years, several food chains, retail stores, and other businesses have welcomed crypto into their payment systems. Global fast food chain Burger King wanted to jump onto the bandwagon as well.
According to a recent report, Burger King went on to onboard Instapower power bank rent machines. This further helps the food chain in accepting crypto payments. However, only Alchemy Pay and Binance Pay are the payment providers employed by Instapower.
Additionally, it should be noted that only Burger King in Paris has decided to offer this service. Elaborating on the latest partnership, Yann Phu, the CEO of Flash Development, which is the distributor behind Instapower said,
“This collaboration with Burger King in Paris has taken us to the next level with our operations in Europe. Instpower’s machines will enable customers to power their devices while on the move. In Asia, these power banks are used widely but in Europe, the market is only just beginning to embrace them.
By having Alchemy Pay helping users to pay with crypto via Binance Pay, we are bringing cutting-edge payment options to Europeans.” Reports note that there are a total of 19 Burger King outlets in Paris.
Is France emerging as a new crypto hub?
Throughout last year, crypto firms continued to veer into France despite the slump the overall market was experiencing. The country’s crypto-friendly laws lured exchanges to set up shop. Binance, Crypto.com, and several other exchanges have acquired licenses to operate in the region. Back in February 2023, Binance collaborated with Ingenico to offer payment services at a bar called Le Carlie, and another at a clothing store named Miss Opéra.
