With the launch of ChatGPT, artificial intelligence (AI) took center stage in the latter half of 2022. From educational institutions to pharmaceutical companies, firms all across the board have started deploying AI. 

Now, according to the latest report from Reuters, Walt Disney, an American multinational mass media firm, has launched an artificial intelligence task force to explore the potential of AI and how it can be applied to various branches of the entertainment wing.

Disney deployed the AI task force earlier this year

According to the three sources that are familiar with the matter, Disney deployed the AI task force earlier this year. To strengthen its position in the artificial intelligence realm, Disney also has 11 job openings in AI and machine learning.

The roles span numerous divisions of the company, encompassing Walt Disney Studios, theme parks, Walt Disney Imagineering (the engineering group), Disney-branded television, and the advertising team.

The advertising team is particularly focused on creating an AI-powered ad system described as “next-generation,” as detailed in the job advertisements. The sources also revealed that AI can aid in improving customer support in the park business.
