El Salvador Makes a Bold Move to Teach Bitcoin in Schools by 2024

According to the latest details that surfaced, the Ministry of Education of El Salvador has joined forces with the nonprofit organization Mi Primer Bitcoin (MPB), meaning “My First Bitcoin,” to teach Bitcoin education in the country’s public school curriculum by the year 2024.

In addition, this visionary initiative aims to equip the nation’s youth with the knowledge and skills needed to embrace the digital currency revolution.

John Dennehy, the visionary founder behind Mi Primer Bitcoin, confirmed the partnership’s details to Cointelegraph. In addition, he revealed that this project is spearheaded by the Ministry of Education. MPB and Bitcoin Beach will play pivotal roles in its realization.

Upon successful completion, students will be awarded a diploma, signifying their proficiency in Bitcoin-related matters. John Dennehy emphasized that this program would play a central role in shaping the curriculum’s content.

The journey to Bitcoin enlightenment begins on September 7. This will begin with the commencement of the pilot program, supported by the experts at Bitcoin Beach. Additionally, this inaugural phase will see 150 public school teachers, representing 75 institutions, undergo rigorous training to gain a fundamental understanding of Bitcoin. Dennehy believes that this initiative will provide them with a solid knowledge base.

El Salvador aims to become a beacon of inspiration for the world within Bitcoin. Furthermore, John Dennehy believes that quality education is the linchpin to ensuring that El Salvador’s pioneering example is positive.
