The recently leaked data contains no information about the in-built game cryptocurrency payment method. Therefore, there are slim chances that Rockstar Games will ever put cryptocurrency in the upcoming and most anticipated GTA 6.

The leaked gameplay shows a female protagonist, the first of a kind in the game’s history. While gamers assumed the leak was another ‘fake’ and made-up video, Rockstar Games took to Twitter to confirm that the leak was real. The game world went helter-skelter after Rockstar Games’ tweet as the production house never gave statements about any previous leaks.

The production house said in a statement that their “systems suffered a network intrusion”. They added that “an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information”. The illegal network intrusion includes, “early development footage, for the next Grand Theft Auto,” they said.

Gamers are advised to not post any links, videos, or clips of the leak on social media or network drives. Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are issuing DCMA copyrights against anyone who posts illegally obtained data. The leaked videos and other details are taken off by Twitter and other social media giants are following suit.

However, the production house confirmed that the leak will not hamper the speed of their next game installment. “Will properly introduce you to this next game when it is ready,” they said.
