GTA 6 is all set to release in 2025 but a tentative date is yet to be announced by Rockstar Games. The parent company Take-Two Interactive took 12 years to develop the game after it released GTA 5 in 2013. The delay caused fans to be upset about the gaming studio as the development took longer than expected. The memes ‘before GTA 6’ caused a stir online making Rockstar Games recognize the delay in launching the next franchise.

Rockstar Games: Take-Two Boss Explains Why GTA 6 is Running Late
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick explained why it took more than a decade for GTA 6 to be developed. He revealed that Rockstar Games seeks perfection and to continue the great work, the organization had to keep arrogance aside and work like it’s their first game.
“We know that Rockstar seeks perfection. I never claim success before it occurs. I’m fond of saying arrogance is the enemy of continued success, so we’re all running scared and looking over our shoulders and we know that the competition is not asleep. Our whole organization is super excited,” he said to IGN explaining GTA 6’s delay.

How Much Money Will Take-Two Interactive Earn?
Reports indicate that GTA 6 could earn more than $1 billion on the first day of its release. Overall, the game is expected to cross the $10 billion in sales through its lifetime. Its predecessor GTA 5 has generated a revenue of $8.6 billion in the last 12 years. The upcoming installment is expected to smash the record and move forward.

The first trailer of GTA 6 was released in December 2023 and the studio has been quiet since then. Rockstar Games is yet to release the second trailer and has kept the release date under wraps. Nonetheless, its release will usher the gaming industry into a new era with massive changes in graphics and dynamics.
