Hong Kong is definitely not behind. It recently welcomed its first Bitcoin ETF in December 2022. Interactive Brokers also launched Bitcoin and Ethereum trading in Hong Kong. The special administrative region of the People’s Republic of China has announced the successful offering of tokenized green bonds worth HK$800 million ($101 million). This is according to the details from a recent press release.

Hong Kong’s tokenized green bond is the first one issued by a government globally

The green bond is being offered by the Hong Kong government under its Green Bond Program. It is also the first green bond to be released by a global government.
