Now you can imagine what happens when the game suddenly crashes or refuses to load. It can be quite a nightmare for people with actual investments on the line. This is why we have this tutorial, to help you quickly fix the error and return to gaming.
What Causes Axie Infinity Unity Crash Error?
One of the most common causes of the crash error is connection problems or connection errors. It often leads you to get a connection timeout error.
On the other hand, if there is an error in one of the game files on your computer, that is another reason why you cannot connect to the server. You need to do the correct reinstallation of the game to correct the error.
How to Fix Axie Infinity Unity Crash Error
On Windows or Mac, you must downgrade to a previous version of the game. You will also have to delete a folder that contains outdated and conflicting data. Below is a detailed step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Turn Off the Program
Turn off Mavis Hub if the Axie Infinity game is running to proceed with the troubleshooting.
Step 2: Access the Folder
- Open ’Local Disk (C:)’
- Open ‘Users’
- Open ‘User’.
Keep in mind that if there is no folder called user, it simply means your computer was renamed. For example, if you put the username on your computer as XERXES, the username will be XERXES.
- Open AppData.
If you cannot find a folder by that name, click on the ‘view’ tab, then check the ‘hidden items’ box.
It will then update the list where you should open the AppData. In the same manner, Open Local Low, then open Sky Mavis. It will finally lead you to a folder called Axie Infinity.
Similarly, you could simply follow the path below:
- For Windows: C:\Users\[user]\AppData\LocalLow\Sky Mavis
- For MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support
Step 3: Delete the Axie Infinity Folder
On Windows, select the Axie Infinity folder, right-click and select Delete or press the Delete button on the keyboard.
Similarly, for MacOS users, follow the path ~/Library/Application Support, then delete the folder com.axieinfinity.Origin
Step 4: Re-Install Mavis Hub
To access the official website:
- Go to axieinfinity.com and click the “Play Now” button.
- Select your operating system (Mac OS, Android, or iOS platform). You will be prompted to download and extract its file setup.
- Install the “Mavis setup” program from this location.
Step 5: Sync Axie
After deleting the Axie Infinity data folder, open the Mavis Hub program and press Play to enter the game. Temporarily, it will not display the energy number and Axies. The Arena button may still show a dash of the SLP icon. Therefore, go to the ‘My Axies’ section and click ‘Sync Axie’ to sync again. You can now play as usual.
