Elon Musk has come under fire for a number of things ever since he took control of Twitter. Musk was undoubtedly attracting a lot of attention when he started sacking top executives, charging $8 for Twitter Blue, and launching numerous other initiatives.
The CEO of Tesla spoke about Twitter Files on Saturday, sharing the tweet thread by journalist Matt Taibbi. Taibbi was provided with details of Twitter’s behind-the-scenes discussions and decision-making. Musk stated in a Dec 4 tweet that they, “need another day or so,” but didn’t disclose an exact date for the release of Episode 2 of Twitter Files.
Jack Dorsey, co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, replied to Musk, stressing transparency.
Jack Dorsey urges Musk to make everything public
In his tweet reply, Dorsey stated that “If the goal is transparency to build trust, why not just release everything without filter and let people judge for themselves?” Dorsey also urged Musk to include all discussions around the current and future actions of Twitter. He concluded the tweet by asking him to make everything public now.
However, scrolling down on Dorsey’s tweet reveals that he got a bunch of mixed reactions from users. Some agreed with his statement, while others called out Dorsey for not releasing any of these files when he was in the driver’s seat at Twitter.
