The official Twitter handle of Shiba Inu confirmed that the early access for land bids in the SHIB Metaverse will begin this Weekend. The tweet urged users to lock their Leash or Shiboshi NFTs to get the first priority to access the land sale event.
“Early Access Land Bid Event Starting Soon! We are excited to announce the drop is almost here. Have you locked your $LEASH or #SHIBOSHI yet? “Landing” this weekend. Keep an eye on http://shib.io,” the tweet read.

As soon as the tweet was out, Leash spiked +10% and is hovering around the same number today. It jumped from $1,393 to its day’s high of $1,533 in just a few hours. The token spiked to $140 in a single day and is now displaying extreme bullish sentiments.
A lot of importance is given to Shiba Inu’s native tokens Leash and Bone in the upcoming developments. For instance, only Leash holders get first access to view, bid, and purchase lands in the SHIB Metaverse. At first, only 35,000 plots will be open for bidding in a 10-day land sale event. Post that, the rest of the plots will be open to the public stage-wise. A total of 100,565 plots will be available for purchase.

Will Leash Spike in Price Before the SHIB Metaverse ‘Land Bids’?
The next three days are important for Leash as it will be the centerpiece of the upcoming development. A lot of investors are already finding ways how to purchase Leash just to be the first in line in the SHIB Metaverse. Moreover, Leash’s trading volume has seen a drastic jump in a day. Its trading volume spiked 140% in less than 24-hours after the tweet was made.
The demand for Leash could remain throughout this weekend and the announcement in the next two days can lure many more investors to purchase Leash. This in return could make its price shoot up further as the token now has use-cases in the ecosystem.

However, the exact date for the 10-day land bid event is not known. Whether an announcement about it will be made during the weekend, or will the gates to ‘bid lands’ start off from this weekend itself, remains to be seen. Nonetheless, the Leash is now a hot rod and investors can strike when the iron is hot.
In February this year, when the team announced Leash holders will get first access to land bids, the same day, the token shot up +40%.
At press time, Leash was trading at $1,519 and is up +9.55% in the 24-hours day trade. However, the token is down -66.3% from its all-time high of $4,528 which it reached in January early this year.
