Top Dogecoin influencer Matt Wallace promised to delete his YouTube channel if Doge won’t reach $1 in 2022. He tweeted to his 620,000 followers that he’s “confident” that Doge will breach $1 by the end of the year.

“I am so confident Dogecoin will pass $1 by the end of the year, that I will delete my YouTube channel if it does not,” he tweeted.

Matt’s YouTube handle ‘Final Stand‘ boasts 246,000 subscribers and gains nearly half a million ‘views’ each video. His Elon Musk and SNL video gained the highest with 1.1 million views.

However, we will have to wait and watch if Dogecoin touches the $1 milestone by the end of the year. Nonetheless, we will simultaneously have to wait and watch if Matt’s YouTube channel will be operational in 2023.

Dogecoin stole the limelight in 2021 after Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced he invested in Dogecoin. The billionaire also repeatedly tweeted about Doge and gave out interviews talking highly about the meme token. This pushed Dogecoin to stardom and attracted new and first-time investors into the crypto fold. Moreover, right after he appeared on Saturday Night Live’s (SNL) show ‘The Dogefather’, the meme-coin began its downward spiral.

The top meme-currency is unable to recover its lost glory in terms of price and is going the opposite direction instead of ‘the moon’. Going by the current market conditions, it could be unlikely that Dogecoin would touch the $1 milestone. The bear market has taken over the financial sector showing little or no gains for six months straight.

Doge even added an extra ‘zero’ in its indices this week during the crypto crash. A possible recovery might take a longer time than previously thought as the global economy is in murky waters.

At press time, Dogecoin was trading at $0.053320 and is down 4.5% in the 24-hours day trade. It is also down a staggering 92.6% from its all-time high of $0.73, which it reached in May 2021.
