Saudi Arabia’s AI push has accelerated dramatically with the kingdom’s unprecedented $10 billion investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure, and also positioning itself as the Middle East Silicon Valley. The ambitious initiative, unveiled during President Trump’s state visit, centers on deploying 18,000 NVIDIA Blackwell chips through HUMAIN, which is Saudi Arabia’s new AI powerhouse backed by the Public Investment Fund.

Jensen Huang, NVIDIA CEO, stated:
“AI, like electricity and internet, is essential infrastructure for every nation. Together with HUMAIN, we are building AI infrastructure for the people and companies of Saudi Arabia to realize the bold vision of the Kingdom.”

Saudi Arabia’s AI Push Intensifies With $10B Blackwell Bet

The Saudi Arabia’s AI push represents one of the largest technology investments in the Middle East right now, with HUMAIN committing to purchase hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GPUs over five years. The first phase deployment includes 18,000 GB300 Grace Blackwell supercomputers, and these will be utilizing the most advanced NVIDIA Blackwell chips available at the time of writing.

His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, had this to say:
“This lays the groundwork for a new industrial revolution, anchored in advanced infrastructure, talent and global ambition. This is how Saudi Arabia continues to lead as a partner of choice in shaping the future of AI.”
The $10 billion AI fund will power data centers consuming up to 500 megawatts, and also establishing Saudi tech rivalry capabilities that compete with established global hubs. This massive infrastructure positions Saudi Arabia’s AI push as a serious challenge to traditional technology centers.

NVIDIA Blackwell Chips Power Middle East Silicon Valley Vision

The deployment of NVIDIA Blackwell chips represents cutting-edge technology transfer to the region right now. These GB300 Grace Blackwell processors, which were only announced earlier this year, are designed for extreme-scale AI workloads and will form the backbone of Saudi Arabia’s AI factories.

Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN, stated:
“Our partnership with NVIDIA is a bold step forward in realizing the Kingdom’s ambitions to lead in AI and advanced digital infrastructure. Together, we are building the capacity, capability and a new globally enabled community to shape a future powered by intelligent technology and empowered people.”
$10 Billion AI Fund Accelerates Regional Competition

The $10 billion AI fund allocation also demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s commitment to becoming the Middle East Silicon Valley. AMD has also secured a collaboration worth $10 billion with HUMAIN, creating additional competition in the Saudi tech rivalry marketplace.
The Saudi Arabia AI push extends beyond hardware procurement to include comprehensive workforce development. NVIDIA and the Saudi Data & AI Authority will deploy 5,000 additional Blackwell GPUs for sovereign AI initiatives, while also training thousands of developers in advanced AI technologies.
