Shiba Inu’s upcoming Metaverse development ‘Shiberse’ is in full swing as the topic was discussed in length during SHIB’s AMA with Watcher Guru this week. The team confirmed that 99,000 pieces of land will be available for purchase and Leash holders get first access. Only 35,000 pieces of land will be open in the first phase for bidding which is accessible to Leash holders. The bidding process will be held in a 10-day ‘land event’. After the bids are completed, the rest of the lands will be open to others.

The price of the properties in Shiberse will be based on the location and proximity to resources. Each property will be priced differently as per the map position and accessibility to supplies (just like real-world real-estate).

Milkshake, Shiba Inu’s top influencer confirmed that properties closer to the ‘Dog Park’ will be more expensive than other pieces of land. ”The closer lands are to the ‘Dog Park’, they will become more expensive.” she tweeted.

She revealed that each location boasts of different attributes and resources and will not be similar to each other. “Each group of lands will have different attributes assigned, while also showcasing resources,” she said. When it comes to pricing it ”will vary based on the map position,” she confirmed.

The maximum a ‘wallet’ can purchase is 100 plots and users can purchase lands in Shiberse with Ethereum. Leash gives access to early bidding but investors need to pay in ETH to purchase lands. Moreover, Shiboshis will get 2000 lands and are exclusively reserved for the Shiba Inu NFT Holders.

Nonetheless, a tentative release date for Shiberse is not revealed but could be launched by the end of the year.

Shiba Inu: The Path Forward

Apart from Shiberse, the Shiba Inu team is working on various different projects simultaneously expanding its ecosystem. This year could see an array of releases that includes two different games, one with PlaySide Studios and the other with former Activision head William Volk.

Another important release is Shibarium, a layer-2 network that aims to reduce gas fees in the SHIB ecosystem. Read here for in-depth details on how Shibarium will function.

At press time, Shiba Inu was trading at $0.00002387 and is up +8.4% in the 24-hours day trade.
