Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) highly anticipated layer-2 network, Shibarium, is “closer than you think,” according to blockchain infrastructure provider, NOWNodes. NOWNodes is also a key partner in SHIB’s layer-2 initiative. According to the platform, the final updates are being processed before the mainnet launch.
A few weeks ago, the NOWNodes team entered stage 3 of their Shibarium roadmap. The team is currently focusing on onboarding projects to build on the upcoming network. As per an official tweet, the team will announce their official partner after finalizing the terms. The team also stated that this will be the last announcement before the mainnet launch. However, the team has still not revealed an official launch date for Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) layer-2 network.

When will Shiba Inu’s Shibarium network go live?
There are plenty of reasons to believe that Shibarium will indeed launch in August. Firstly, in April, Shiba Inu (SHIB) lead developer Shytoshi Kusama said that the network will debut sometime between June and August. We are almost entering the last leg of that timeline.
Secondly, in a recent blog, Kusama said that the team was considering launching the network at the Blockchain Futurist Conference. The conference is scheduled to be held in Toronto, Canada, on August 15 and 16.
And now, NOWNodes has also revealed that the launch is very close, which leads to the speculation that we might see the launch sometime in August.

Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) Shibarium launch has seen multiple delays due to technical difficulties. The network was first supposed to be released in 2022. However, it was pushed to early 2023, before being pushed to the current timeline. However, it should be noted that we do not have an official launch date. The timeline and the possible August launch dates are not confirmed. At press time, Shibarium’s test net, Puppynet, had over 31 million transactions, and over 17 million wallet addresses.
